Pennsylvania Gun Buyers May See Background-Check Times Shortened

Gun buyers challenging how long it takes to get mandatory background checks in Pennsylvania will have to wait a bit longer to see if the wait period will be shortened, the state supreme court said Friday.

Though the plaintiffs aren’t entitled to injunctive or mandamus relief from the current procedures, they may be entitled to declaratory relief, Justice Sally Updyke Mundy said for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, remanding the case to a state intermediary court to address the issue.
