Payments Firm Stripe Is Eliminating 300 Positions, Memo Says

Stripe Inc., the payments company founded by billionaire brothers Patrick and John Collison, is laying off 300 employees, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg.

The job reductions are primarily across closely-held Stripe’s product, engineering and operations teams, according to an email sent to employees by Stripe’s chief people officer, Rob McIntosh. A spokesperson for Stripe declined to comment. The layoffs were reported earlier by Business Insider.
