Pasadena Faces Man’s Suit Over Police Killing of Father Figure

The city of Pasadena and several of its police officers will face revived civil rights claims brought by a man over the death of his non-biological father at the hands of law enforcement, the Ninth Circuit said Tuesday.

Shane Love alleges he was raised by Reginald Thomas, who was killed by police while he was experiencing a mental health crisis.
