Parents Challenge School System Over Black Lives Matter Posters

A Minnesota school district sparred with a group of parents before a federal appeals court Tuesday over the district’s decision to hang “Black Lives Matter” posters in schools following the death of George Floyd without allowing posters with a rival political message to be displayed.

The plaintiffs alleged that the school district allowed activists to post the politically-charged posters following the May 2020 police killing of Floyd, affixing its seal of approval to private speech in a way that excluded other viewpoints.
