Orrick’s Corkran Joins Georgetown Law from SCOTUS Practice

Kelsi Corkran, the former head of Orrick’s Supreme Court practice, has joined Georgetown Law in a return to public service work.

The former Justice Department civil division veteran and Ruth Bader Ginsburg clerk told Bloomberg Law that she never planned on going into private practice but still had a “terrific experience” at Orrick.

“I got to the point after six years where I had the flexibility to go back into doing public interest work full time,” she said of her decision to join Georgetown’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection.
