Oracle Protests Against More Discovery in NetSuite Deal Lawsuit

Attorneys for Oracle Corp. balked Wednesday at requests to produce more records over the company’s 2016 acquisition of NetSuite Inc., now that they’ve won at trial and a Delaware judge needs to determine fee and cost awards stemming from the long-running litigation.

The pension fund that accused Oracle and its founder, Larry Ellison, of overpaying by $3 billion for NetSuite, seeks a $5 million award for attorneys fees.

Ellison wants $34,226 in costs covered, and the company doesn’t want to reopen discovery, according to briefs filed in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
