Omega Keeps $1.1 Million Jury Win Against Watch Counterfeiter

Omega SA’s victory in a trademark case against a Manhattan property owner that was willfully blind to the sale of counterfeit watches on its property was upheld by the Second Circuit on Wednesday.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit rejected 375 Canal LLC’s argument that it wasn’t liable because Omega didn’t identify a specific infringer leasing its property.

Canal has a history of run-ins with the law over counterfeiting at its 375 Canal Street property, including two settled lawsuits with New York City and one with Louis Vuitton Malletier.
