Ohio State Avoids Liability to Swimmer Allegedly Abused by Coach

A swimmer who alleged she was sexually abused by an Ohio State University coach when she was 16 years old waited too long to file her civil rights suits against the school, the Sixth Circuit said.

The alleged abuse happened in 2014, but Eszter Pryor didn’t file her suit under Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments until January 2022, Judge Stephanie Dawkins Davis said Monday for the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
