Ohio Long Arm Statute Reaches Out, Grabs Utah Lawyer in Fraud, Misrepresentation Suit

A Utah lawyer must face fraud and misrepresentation claims in a federal district court in Ohio for writing letters that his Utah client mailed to an Ohio investor who lost the money he invested in an insurance plan promoted by the client, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit held Feb. 23 (Schneider v. Hardesty, 6th Cir., No. 09-3892).
