An Ohio lawyer who neglected 15 clients as a result of drug abuse received a two-year stayed suspension from the state’s highest court, conditioned on his compliance with a state lawyers assistance program.
Paul Michael Kelley “is committed to his sobriety and mental health” and his abandonment of his clients was “relatively short lived,” the Ohio Supreme Court said Tuesday.
The Uniontown, Ohio, attorney and the court’s professional conduct board stipulated to the facts, the court noted.
