Ohio Lawyer Sanctioned Over Trial Conduct, Son for Facebook Post

An Ohio attorney was suspended for his conduct while representing a defendant at trial that resulted in a contempt citation, and the lawyer’s son was reprimanded for publicly criticizing the judge on Facebook.

The Ohio Supreme Court imposed a one-year suspension on Kenneth Ronald Bailey, and ordered a public reprimand for his son, Kenneth Richard Bailey.

While representing a rape defendant, the senior Bailey lost motions requesting the court to appoint a defense expert because his client didn’t meet the standards for indigency and to continue the case, the supreme court said.
