Ohio Law Requiring Burial of Fetal Tissue Temporarily Blocked

Planned Parenthood won an eleventh-hour injunction Monday that stops the state of Ohio from enforcing a new law requiring burial or cremation of fetal tissue from abortions.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Alison Hatheway read her order from the bench, according to Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, which filed the lawsuit. The injunction temporarily blocks the state from penalizing abortion clinics under the statute, which was to take effect April 6.
