Officer Immune From Lawsuit Over Shooting Death of Unarmed Man

A Utah police officer is free from a civil suit brought by the family of a man who was shot and killed while unarmed, after the Tenth Circuit on Tuesday held that the decision to shoot was reasonable based on the totality of circumstances.

Dillon Taylor was shot and killed by Salt Lake City Police Officer Bron Cruz in August 2014 after leaving a 7-Eleven with two others and not complying with police orders to stop and show his hands.
