New York drivers who alleged that their civil rights were violated when they were detained after being pulled over for DUI had their federal claims and request for class certification dismissed by a federal trial court.
Under New York’s 2019 bail reform legislation, a driver who is pulled over for DUI and has a blood alcohol content of 0.07% or less is to be given a desk appearance ticket and released.
