Nvidia Corp. urged a federal judge in West Texas to move a high-profile patent and antitrust dispute over the technology that powers AI chips to California, highlighting the semiconductor company’s Bay Area headquarters and its opponent’s ties to the region.

“Plaintiff Xockets, Inc. and its witnesses are deeply rooted” in Northern California, Nvidia wrote in its transfer motion, which Xockets is opposing and which was made public late Tuesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, two weeks after it was filed under seal.
