National Public Radio Inc. announced Thursday its hire of Elizabeth Allen, former general counsel for newspaper publisher Gannett Co. Inc., as chief legal officer starting Feb. 16.
“NPR has been a staple in my life since I was a little girl listening to ‘All Things Considered’ in the car,” Allen, who will also hold the titles of general counsel and corporate secretary, said in a statement. “I look forward to joining.”
