Nissan North America Worker’s Sexual Harassment Claim Revived

A project manager for Nissan North America Inc. who alleges she was sexually assaulted and harassed by a superior can pursue claims for a hostile work environment and retaliation, a divided Sixth Circuit said Friday.

LaTanya Wyatt works in Nissan’s information systems application department. Wyatt alleges that Walter Mullen, a senior manager, took her to a hotel room under false pretenses, exposed himself, prevented her from leaving, and tried to embrace her. Mullen allegedly subjected her to unwelcome touching on other occasions.
