A federal appeals court rejected a bid to force a trial judge to speed up the handling of a lawsuit over California’s law banning marketing firearms to children.
The suing gun rights groups “have not demonstrated that this case warrants the intervention of this court by means of the extraordinary remedy of mandamus. Accordingly, the petition is denied,” the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said in a three-line order issued late Thursday.
