NextGen Healthcare Inc. negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 1 million people in connection with a March data breach, three new proposed federal class actions said.
At least seven other similar lawsuits have been filed against NextGen over the data breach since May 5.
Amy Derouin, Shawna Kerr, and Jonethan James alleged in separate lawsuits that NextGen, a provider of electronic health records and practice management services to health care providers, breached its duty to protect their information and failed to implement adequate data-security measures.
