New Jersey Mandate for Salaries in Job Ads Clears Legislature

New Jersey would require that employers include a salary range in job postings under legislation headed to Gov. Phil Murphy (D) for his signature, mirroring the pay transparency laws passed in at least 10 other states.

The measure (S2310 / A4151) would mandate employers to include the pay amount or range plus a description of benefits and other compensation for each job opening they advertise. The law would take effect six months after the governor signs.
