NetChoice Challenges Louisiana Social Media Age Verification Law

Louisiana’s new law requiring social media platforms to verify user ages violates the First and Fourteenth amendments, tech trade group NetChoice said in a complaint filed Tuesday in federal court.

The law restricts minors’ access to online speech and violates “bedrock principles of constitutional law,” NetChoice alleged in a complaint filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
