Nestlé Purina Settlement in Worker’s Wage Suit Rejected by Court

A proposed $3 million settlement in a California class action against Nestlé Purina PetCare Co. was rejected by a federal court because the plaintiff lacked standing to pursue all the wage claims against his employer.

Emmanuel Salinas sued Nestlé Purina under the California Labor Code, his claims included failure to pay for all hours worked, failure to pay minimum and overtime wages, failure to provide accurate pay statements, failure to timely pay departed employees, and unlawful business practices. After discovery, the parties submitted a proposed settlement to the court.
