The future of an abortion rights ballot measure in Nebraska is uncertain after the state’s top court agreed to hear two challenges seeking to prevent the petition from going before voters in November.

The Nebraska Supreme Court on Friday issued an order allowing a Douglas County woman, Carolyn LaGreca, leave to commence an original action against Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen (R) over his Aug. 23 certification of the abortion rights ballot petition from the campaign Protect Our Rights.
