The NAACP failed to state a viable constitutional claim against the Census Bureau, a federal court in Maryland said Thursday, rejecting the group’s challenge to the 2020 Census count.
The NAACP didn’t plausibly allege that the Census Bureau’s plan fails to bear a reasonable relationship to an actual enumeration or that any of its actions unreasonably compromise the distributive accuracy of the census, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland said.
