Katherine Lemire has left the New York State Department of Financial Services for a partnership role at global law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, the firm announced Monday.
Lemire joins the law firm’s financial services litigation practice after her tenure as executive deputy superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services. She oversaw the consumer protection and financial enforcement division, leading a team of more than 170 attorneys launched in 2019 to police fraud and prevent financial crises.
