N.J. Battle Over 3D Gun Printing Instructions Revived on Appeal

New Jersey’s attorney general must face a Texas company’s claims that its First Amendment rights were violated by states’ efforts to prevent it from disseminating instructions on how to make firearms using a 3D printer, the Fifth Circuit ruled Wednesday.

The decision overturns a lower court ruling that dismissed the case against New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal for lack of personal jurisdiction.
