Major League Baseball has reached a confidential settlement with a fan who was struck in the face with a baseball while attending a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field in 2018.
The terms of the agreement to dismiss, filed in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County, are unknown and counsel didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
The settlement comes seven months after an Illinois appeals court ruled that the plaintiff, Laiah Zuniga, wasn’t bound by an arbitration provision referenced on the back of her ticket.
