Minor league baseball players may proceed as a class with wage and overtime claims against Major League Baseball, after the Ninth Circuit declined to consider the league’s appeal of the class certification ruling.
The league argued that an appeal of the issue is warranted due to a split among trial courts within the circuit on “whether a plaintiff can bring state law claims on behalf of other class members that he could not bring for himself.”
