Mississippi’s only remaining abortion clinic and the state are trying to end partially a challenge to several state abortion restrictions before trial by asking a federal district court to dismiss the case or grant them summary judgment.
Jackson Women’s Health Organization’s constitutional challenge to Mississippi laws imposing a 24-hour waiting period, adding restrictive licensing requirements, mandating that only physicians perform abortions, and banning medication abortions by telemedicine fail as a matter of law, the state said.
