Medical Academy Must Face Software Theft Suit in Harris County

Ultimate Medical Academy lost its bid to remove a software misappropriation suit against it to federal court after the Fifth Circuit ruled Tuesday that the forum selection clause in the contract with its vendor required the case to proceed in Harris County district court.

UMA, a nonprofit healthcare educational institution based in Florida, bought a license to Dynamic CRM Recruiting Solutions’ computer software in 2019.
