Massachusetts Officials Seek to End Anti-Abortion Speech Lawsuit

A Massachusetts anti-abortion center shouldn’t be allowed to proceed with a suit alleging state officials engaged in a “blacklisting” campaign intended to deprive it and other centers of their constitutional rights, the officials said.

Gov. Maura Healey (D) and Public Health Commissioner Robert Goldstein had the right to give the public accurate, truthful information about the centers, including a warning that they don’t provide comprehensive health-care services, the officials said Dec. 13 in a motion to dismiss the case.
