Mass Shooting Malicious Prosecution Case Sees Settlement (1)

A Pennsylvania county has settled a lawsuit by one of two people who alleged they were wrongfully accused of a 2016 mass shooting that left six dead.

Judge Cathy Bissoon of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday dismissed with prejudice the case brought by Robert Thomas against the County of Allegheny, one day after the parties filed notice with the court agreeing to the dismissal. The judge on July 21 noted that a settlement had been reached, though none of the terms were made public.
