A group of religious Maryland parents urged a federal appeals court to temporarily require the state’s largest school system to notify them about instruction with LGBTQ-themed children’s books and let their kids opt out of the lessons.
The parents said in a Tuesday brief that they are entitled to a preliminary injunction that would make Montgomery County Public Schools revert to a previous policy, under which kids could be excused from the instruction.
