Man’s Nude Video of Stepdaughter in Shower Was Pornography

A stepfather, who tricked his 14-year-old stepdaughter into taking his camera into the shower to see if it was waterproof, is guilty of possessing child pornography, the Fourth Circuit said July 3.

Ryan Courtade argued the video wasn’t child pornography because it only showed his stepdaughter taking a shower.

Child pornography is more than a picture of a naked child, the opinion by Chief Judge Roger L. Gregory said. The images must also portray sexually explicit conduct, Gregory said.
