Logistics Firm Can’t Dodge Sexual Harassment Retaliation Trial

Logistics Insight Corp. must go to trial over claims that it fired a floor supervisor in retaliation for opposing the sexual harassment of his then-fiancée after he refused an order to help suppress her complaint, a Texas federal judge said.

Daniel Padro sufficiently alleged he reasonably believed that the company’s actions violated the anti-retaliation provisions of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, and that he was fired for opposing an unlawful practice, Judge Sam Lindsay of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled May 1.
