The chief executive officer of a Czech litigation funder manufactured “sham” documents to try to avoid liability for health and safety infractions at three UK residential properties, according to an appeals tribunal.
Maros Kravec, CEO of LitFin Capital, was ordered to pay a £95,500 ($128,075) fine after being cited for fire hazards, a wasp infestation, and other problems at the properties, public records show. Kravec tried to distance himself from the properties by creating backdated lease agreements listing his brother, Michal Kravec, as the landlord after he recognized he might face an enforcement action, the First-Tier Tribunal Property Chamber found. ...
