Transgender Care Case Lawyers Punished for ‘Judge-Shopping’ (1)

Three attorneys from a team litigating to block enforcement of a felony ban on medical treatments for transgender minors in Alabama were publicly reprimanded and referred for further disciplinary action for “judge-shopping” on Tuesday.

Melody Eagan and Jeffrey Doss of Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC, and Carl Charles, a senior attorney at the Southern Regional Office of Lambda Legal, were publicly reprimanded for bad-faith misconduct by Judge Liles C. Burke of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

The report itself was issued through the Middle District of Alabama.
