A New York lawyer who told a client for more than two years that he’d filed a lawsuit for the client when he hadn’t, and fabricated developments in the case agreed to be suspended for six months.
The Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division, First Department accepted the agreed upon sanction Thursday, which included supervision by the New York City Bar Lawyer Assistance Program for one year.
