Lawyer With ‘Egregious’ Ethics History Disbarred for Default

A New Jersey lawyer who’s been censured, reprimanded, and suspended for various ethics infractions including gross neglect was disbarred after failing to respond to the most recent disciplinary charges.

The Supreme Court of New Jersey ordered Oct. 15 that Susan Lowden be disbarred “immediately” for failing to cooperate with disciplinary authorities.

The court’s disciplinary board recommended the sanction in July, based on Lowden’s “egregious ethics history, which demonstrates a repeated and deep disdain for not only the disciplinary system but also for her clients.”
