Lawyer Aids Genome Project to Revive Mammoth, Extinct Creatures (Correct)

Colossal Biosciences Inc., a startup aiming to bring back the woolly mammoth and other extinct species, has hired a veteran technology industry lawyer to help try to make the vision a reality.

The Austin, Texas-based company, which is dabbling in activities that once seemed possible only in science fiction movies such as “Jurassic Park,” announced Monday that it secured $15 million in seed funding and lined up a half-dozen senior executives, including chief legal officer Brian Beard.
