Lawyer Accused of Trying to Intimidate Witness Gets Reprimand

A Louisiana lawyer who was accused of trying to intimidate an expert witness in two of his cases was publicly reprimanded by the state’s highest court.

Rudy W. Gorrell, Jr., allegedly made statements on three occasions to a pediatric psychologist subpoenaed by the opposing side that “were meant to delay, burden, and intimidate her,” the Louisiana Supreme Court said Nov. 10.

Gorrell was representing a client in two custody cases involving two of her ex husbands when the incidents occurred, the court said.
