Lawmakers Seek Supreme Court Probe of Justice Clarence Thomas

A group of US lawmakers including Senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Pramila Jayapal ask Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to investigate the vacations of Justice Clarence Thomas that were paid for by a billionaire Republican donor.

• “We believe that it is your duty as Chief Justice ‘to safeguard public faith in the judiciary,’ and that fulfilling that duty requires swift, thorough, independent and transparent investigation into these allegations,” lawmakers say in letter to Roberts.
