Latham Adds Longtime Shearman Partner to Growing M&A Group (1)

Shearman & Sterling M&A partner Robert Katz is heading to Latham & Watkins as a partner in its corporate department in New York City, where the firm has recently been deepening its bench with high-profile lateral hires.

Katz is the fourth partner to join Latham’s rapidly expanding M&A and private equity practices in the Big Apple this year. In January the firm added the former leader of Hogan Lovells’ New York M&A practice Alexander Johnson and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison counsel David Beller. Paul Weiss partner Justin Hamill joined Latham in March.
