Large-capacity magazine maker Kyung Chang Industry USA Inc. and its South Korean parent company should be held liable for four deaths in a 2019 Dayton, Ohio, mass shooting, the families and estates of the victims say in a lawsuit filed in Nevada state court.
The companies marketed and sold 100-round magazines to the general public “without any reasonable safeguards, screening, or limits,” Dion Green and other family members say in the complaint, filed Sunday. The companies “even directed customers to the anything-goes Internet marketplace, where many criminals flock because of its secrecy and lack of rules,” they say.
