Kirkland Aids Billionaire Frank McCourt’s TikTok Bid Plan (1)

Kirkland & Ellis, the world’s largest law firm by revenue, is assisting real estate billionaire Frank McCourt’s Project Liberty in its effort to purchase the US operation of social media platform TikTok.

McCourt announced he’s pursuing a coalition to bid on TikTok and “put people in control of their digital identities and data.” His Project Liberty has pursued an alternative vision for the internet that would give users more control of their online presence.

Project Liberty said it is working with Kirkland and Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners.
