Justices Skeptical New York Can Hold New Jersey in Port Pact (1)

The US Supreme Court seemed likely to say that New Jersey can walk away from an interstate agreement over the objection of its neighbor New York.

The Waterfront Commission was established in the 1950s to fight corruption and crime at the port of New York and New Jersey. Seventy years later, New Jersey says the commission has outlived its usefulness and actually hinders development.
