Threats and inappropriate communications targeting the federal judiciary declined last year amid a heightened focus on protecting judges, including Supreme Court justices.
The US Marshals Service reported an 18% year-over-year decline in that metric for judges and judiciary officials to just over 3,700 for fiscal year 2022. It’s the lowest level reported by the agency in the past five years.
