Judiciary Still Has Funding Concerns for Free PACER Bill (2)

The judiciary told lawmakers it’s still concerned about funding for legislation that would make the federal electronic court records system, PACER, free to use, even as it called conversations will bill sponsors “productive.”

“Our discussions over the past few months with congressional staff, including those with the bill’s sponsors, have been productive and we hope the discussions will result in revisions to the bill that achieve the proponents’ goals while alleviating the Conference’s concerns,” Roslynn Mauskopf, director of the Administrative Office of the US Courts, said in Wednesday letters to Sen.
