A federal courts advisory committee voted to advance a potential rule on evidence created by artificial intelligence tools, teeing it up for the public to weigh in on proposed addition for federal courts.
Members of the judiciary’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence on Friday voted in favor of getting feedback on the draft rule. The judiciary’s Committee on Rules and Practice and Procedure, known as the Standing Committee, will vote next month whether to publish the proposed rule for public comment.
