Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats lashed out at a planned hearing next week for President Donald Trump’s latest nominee to what’s often regarded as the second-most powerful court in the nation.
In a letter to Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) that was obtained by Bloomberg Law, the 10 Democrats asked that plans for the hearing they said was scheduled for May 6 be delayed until the panel can address issues related to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Now is not the time to process routine judicial nominations,” the lawmakers wrote.
